INTRODUCTION
VILLA SYMBOLA OLUDENIZ These open onto a terrace commanding views of the whole bay and beyond. Descending a flight of stone steps we reach a two-terraced pool and hydro-spa area, fed by a fountain in treble cascades, and paved in marble, with a comfortable shaded seating arrangement.

ROOMS
The three residences are situated centrally over the bay. The upper residence which is called Sarigerme, named after a beach resort at Dalaman, is reached from the main entrance terrace by stone-step gallery. This is a duplex unit. Upper room has a kitchen with gas cooker and refrigerator; bathroom with bath, wardrobe and a divan which can be converted to a double bed. The Lower room has a separate bathroom with bath, wardrobe with sliding door, full-height mirror, and a double bed.
Both rooms have a sea-and-mountain view and large balconies also perfect for sunbathing. All floors are decorative marble. Upper and lower rooms are interconnected by a built-in marble staircase.
The middle residence which is named Marmaris is approached by a balconied terrace and is set on three levels. There are two double bedrooms with fine stained-wood surrounds, panelled wardrobes with sliding mirror-doors and marble floors. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with bath. The kitchen-cum-dining room has a gas cooker and refrigerator. A communal door leads onto a balustraded patio overlooking the bay, perfect for sunbathing. The lower residence which is named Bodrum benefits from a large private sun bathing and dining roof patio, from which a wide flight of steps curves down to the open-plan living room, which has a cornered rustic fireplace and red-veined marble flooring. A door gives on to a small balcony, which overlooks an olive grove. The kitchen is tiled in black and white with marble framing. It contains a cooking stove and a large refrigerator, with a wide marbled service hatch through to the dining area. The two bedrooms are reached by a wide passage running behind the kitchen. The larger bedroom has a set-in double bed, fine glass corner mirror and a leafy window looking at the bay. The smaller bedroom has two beds backed by wooden panelling. Both bedrooms have cupboards with sliding mirror doors. There is one bathroom with good fittings and a Jacuzzi.
The accommodations are perfect for those who want a private holiday in superlative surroundings.

FACILITIES & SERVICE
The pools are surrounded by flowering plants; bougainvillea, campsis and tecomaria, and are overlooked by the owner’s studio-workshop, while turreted walls run round the garden. The mixture of stone-work and wrought-iron gives an Italianate air, but noting the finishing touches we see Gaudi at work.

LOCATION
Villa Symbola is situated in the centre of the wooded valley, which descends to the Oludeniz beach. Driving down to the beach we turn left through pine trees down a private driveway lined with finely masoned and decorated stone walls, and park the car outside intricately decorated heavy wrought-iron gates. These open onto a terrace commanding views of the whole bay and beyond.
