Of the provinces where the most sales to foreigners are realized, Germans prefer Antalya, and the British prefer Muğla. According to data received from the Land Registry Office of Turkey, 73,000 foreign nationals own a total of 38 million 419,151 square meters of land.
When evaluated according to property size, Muğla is first among provinces where foreign nationals prefer to buy, with 4,445,258 square meters, closely followed by Antalya with 3,810,118 square meters, and Aydın with 3,001,075 square meters.
If the number of buyers are evaluated, Antalya is first with 26,031 persons. The list goes on with 12,865 persons in Muğla, 8,830 in İstanbul, 7,415 in Aydın, 5,241 in Bursa and 4,145 in İzmir.
On the other hand, there are no properties belonging to foreign nationals in Ağrı, Bitlis, Hakkari, Muş, Siirt, Urfa, Şırnak, Ardahan and Iğdır. In Gümüşhane, only one Uzbek owns property, in Van, one British, in Bayburt, two Germans, and in Adıyaman, one German and one American.

When the dispersion of nationalities in the provinces with the largest number of sales to foreign nationals is considered, it is apparent that Antalya is favored by Germans, and Muğla by the British. Of the 3,810,118 square meters of real estate sold to foreigners, 1,254,168 square meters belong to Germans. 6,324 German citizens have purchased a total of 4,890 properties in this city.
The British, who are in second place, have purchased 777,786 square meters, The Dutch, in third place, have purchased 351,953 square meters, and the Danes, in fourth place, own property covering a total of 339,874 square meters.
In Muğla, 12,865 foreign nationals own a total of 4,445,258 square meters of real estate. This province is a favorite with the British.
In İstanbul, on the other hand, the Greeks are in the majority. 3,807 Greek citizens have purchased 3,804 properties in the city. The total area of these properties is 509,342 square meters. Of the 8,830 properties sold to foreign nationals, 1,699 are owned by Germans, 391 by Italians, 350 by the British, 345 by citizens of the Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, 319 by Americans, 290 by Australians and 266 by the French.
Greek citizens own more property in Bursa than in Istanbul. Of the 1.5 million square meters of land purchased by 5,241 foreign nationals, 1 million 158,940 square meters belong to the Greek. 4,819 Greek citizens purchased 4,347 properties in Bursa.
