It is planned to complate 3 important project which will change the vision of Turgutreis in Europe untill 2012 year. Turgutreis Municipality aims to finish firstly “Modern city devolopment Project” and then, Ship anchoring Harbour project” and “Yassıada Diving Tourism Project”. They are some of these three important projects for Turgutreis project. First of all, a modern shopping center, new Municipalty building, Touristic bus station and conferance saloons will be built up with Modern City Devolopment Project and it is aimed to finish this project untill 2009 year.
Yassıada Diving Project
Yassıada is known as a place where nearly 16 ships had fallen away between 4th and 16th centuries but mostly belong to the 7th century. Turgutreis Municipality lodged the Yassıada Project to General Directorate of Museums of Tourism and Culture Ministry to open Yassıada to the diving tourism. Turgutreis Municipality wanted Tourism Ministry to give this island to the Municipality and start to do the Yassıada Project. Tourism Ministry agreed as positive wit them and made the studies faster. In all over the world, when this project will come true, it will bring a huge sound and it was informed that conference lounge, cafeteria, restaurants and plenum chambers will be built up. Also, cine-vision show will be done with the cameras under the water to the diving fans. And then, the divers and other people who come different places of the world will have a possibility to see the anphoras which had been used to carry wine and olive oil in history and historical ship-wrecks. Because of this huge project, all the eyes will turn to Turgutreis. And different kind of tourism alternatives will be got in Turgutreis.
