A Scottish couple took their marriage wows for the second time at Ýçmeler district of Marmaris. 48 year old fireman James Alasdair Rae and 43 year old Catherine Elizabeth had been coming regularly to Ýçmeler for their holidays for the last 6 years. The ceremony was held at the Moonlight Hotel in Ýçmeler, where the couple exchanged rings and wows in front of the minister. After the religious ceremony, the bride and groom, and the guests partook of the traditional unleavened bread and wine. The Scottish couple, who have two daughters, one son and one grandchild, told the hotel administration of their wish when they came for their holidays at season’s start. A ceremony was organized at the hotel for the second visit of the couple this year. 35 guests were invited from Britain for the ceremony, including the couple’s children, relatives and close friends. The couple, after renewing their marriage wows for the second time, said that they were happy to be in Turkey, and especially Marmaris, for this special day, and declared that they would continue having their holidays in Marmaris, and that they loved the Turkish people. Catherine Elizabeth added, “I am happy to be here on this special day. I am also happy that my children and my grandchild are here with me.”
