To whom it may concern,
We would like to bring to your attention that most of the English people who live here were not informed of the plan to clean up Calis beach during tourist week and were not aware that 200 leaflets were handed out to hotels and bars along the Calis seafront.
We read the story about how only about ten people turned up and that the hotels and bars were insensitive to the issue.
This was the first anybody new about the plan.
We all support the hotels and bars along the front, so how come we were all oblivious to the plan. Further to the issue, there were an awful lot of English people, who, had they known about the plans, would have been only too willing to help with the clean-up. We have been told time and time again that the beach would be cleaned before the season started and as yet, nothing has happened. The beach is a disgrace and will definately put people off from using it.
If Oludeniz can fly the blue flag, then why can”t we. The fault not only lies with the Belediye but with the hoteliers and bar owners along Calis Plaji.
Let”s all pull together and get on with it. We can all help.
Terry & Jean on behalf of all concerned residents.
