Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay”s Barbaros beach, located in Yalı resort in Muğla”s Bodrum district, was listed among the “World”s Sexiest Beaches” list by Conde Nast traveler magazine, regarded as the best resource for travel information. Beaches in Miami, Maldives and Hawaii were also on the list. Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay general Manager Michael Sorgenfre"y said, “I believe that it is very important to be put on such a list in order to raise the perception of Turkey and Bodrum in global luxury tourism. Our beach that is called sexy is famous for its natural beauties and one of the most significant destinations of blue voyages.” For the first time this year a beach from Turkey was listed among the “World Sexiest Beaches” list of Conde Nast Traveller magazine which publishes this list since 2005.
Barbaros Beach is ranked ninth on the list. While the magazine provided information about the only Turkish bay, it praised the tourism district. Regarding Bodrum as a “cute Aegean town,” the magazine wrote about Bodrum”s crazy nightlife, unique beach, sunset and its unique romantic atmosphere.
Recommendation for readers the magazine recommended Kempinski Barbaros Bay to readers, stating, “The one and only alternative designed to make its guests experience Bodrum”s natural beauty through four seasons. The magazine also praised the hotel”s location overlooking the Gulf of Gökova. Sorgenfrey said Barbaros Bay played a great role in Turkey and Bodrum”s promotion.
