It has been declared that Swedish tourists visiting Turkey have purchased 34 villas in the Gümüşlük district of Bodrum. Mehmet Pamir, speaking to the press on behalf of the construction company building the villas in the Berggruen Complex in Bodrum, said that they had originally built 34 villas in the district, and sold 24 of them to Swedish holiday makers.
To meet increasing demand, they decided to build 78 more villas, of which 10 were sold before completion, again to the Swedes. Pamir went on to say, “Negotiations are continuing for the sale of another 10 villas to the Swedes. We are very pleased with the interest Swedish tourists are showing.”
Gümüşlük Mayor Mehmet Ülküm is also very pleased with the interest being shown to the district. Declaring that property sales are continuing in Gümüşlük, although they have stopped elsewhere on the Bodrum Peninsula, Ülküm says, “This is because Gümüşlük has so much natural beauty. Visitors from abroad prefer Gümüşlük. We spend a lot of effort to ensure that construction is carried out according to building plans. We pay particular attention to preserving green areas and nature.”
